• Al-Khalidi: the Royal orders are a step that is important in developing and raising the efficiency of the structures of the Kingdom and its institutions

    The Chairman of Asharqia Chamber, Abdul Hakim bin Hamad al-Ammar al-Khalidi, praised the new royal orders, which was issued on Thursday, December 27, 2018 by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz.

    Al-Khaldi said, "This is an important step in developing and raising the efficiency of the structures of the Kingdom and its institutions that is in the interest of the homeland and the citizen and in line with the Vision of the Kingdom 2030 that to move forward in the path of change and development in accordance with calculated and sound steps."

    He stressed that it strengthens the role of government institutions and structures through increasing its productive and operational efficiency by injecting new blood from the national competencies in its arteries that is in line with the Vision and its future goals.

    He pointed out that the successes achieved and the state of growth and development that are witnessed by the country and the citizen in the various details of life is only a product of the ongoing reform policies, which has been able to restore since the adoption of the formulation of the administrative and organizational structures in the Kingdom and supported by more national competencies in various fields.

    Al-Khalidi pointed to the importance of the approach of change and innovation in general, as it is one of the most important factors in increasing the efficiency of state institutions and bodies because of the great diversity of mechanisms, tools and ideas, as all of which are aimed at developing and modernizing services provided to citizens.

     

    In addition, he congratulated all those who were included in the royal trust, as he is hoping that Allah will help them in their new responsibilities and make their way in the path of the country towards sustainable development.

    He praised the involvement of the private sector in general in many parts of the structures and government institutions to benefit from its experience in management and operation.

     

    Al-Khalidi considered the Royal orders in establishing a body on behalf of the General Organization for Exhibitions and Conferences and another for Local Content and Government Procurement as an enrichment of the economic movement by making qualitative leaps in these sectors.

    Regarding the exhibitions and conferences sector, he stressed that the Kingdom has many elements to be a destination for the establishment of events of important and high value in the national economy.

    This Orgnization will have a significant impact on the reformulation of the sector in line with national options, where the optimal use of the country's components and capabilities, as well as in the government procurement agency, which can play a large role in promoting local content by directing government procurement that undoubtedly supports the national economy either by reducing the industrial import bill and reducing operating costs or by encouraging national industries to rely more heavily on government procurement.

     

    Al-Khalidi considered the appointment of Dr. Iman bint Habas bin Sultan al-Mutairi as an Assistant Minister of Commerce and Investment reflects the extent of support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Saudi women to take up important positions in the country, which represents his auspicious reign in support of its progress and empowerment in various fields; where he issued in his reign many orders and decisions in support of women.

     

    Al-Khalidi also thanked all the officials who made great efforts in serving the country and the citizen in the previous period.

    He stressed that the Kingdom has the national capabilities that are capable of serving the nation everywhere and at any time. ​
